ผู้ใช้งานสามารถเริ่มวัดเมื่อเข้าทำงานและจนสิ้นสุดการทำงานในแต่ละวัน โดยจะทำการถ่ายโอนข้อมูลการวัดจากตัวเครื่องมาที่คอมพิวเตอร์ ซึ่งข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับประวัติการสัมผัสเสียงรบกวนของผู้ปฏิบัติงานสามารถนำมาประเมินหรือควบคุมการได้รับเสียงที่อาจทำให้เกิดอันตรายต่อผู้ปฏิบัติงานได้
